Sarah joined Maffei Structural Engineering in 2022 after earning a MS in Structural Engineering from UC Berkeley, where she also completed her undergraduate studies in Civil Engineering and Sustainable Design. After working as an intern in 2021, Sarah enthusiastically returned to the company for her full-time career. Since joining, she has worked on seismic evaluation and retrofit of existing buildings, peer review of high rises, evaluation of solar panel arrays, and post-earthquake preparations. Sarah brings to our team experience in project management, sustainability, and collaborative design processes. She strives to improve our built environment by designing structures resilient to natural disasters. Outside of work, she enjoys using her puzzle-solving and teamwork skills in a good game of Dungeons & Dragons.
