The building uses concrete walls as the seismic force resisting system, of a height greater than the code-prescribed height limit. The purpose of the peer review is to verify that the seismic design of the building is expected to provide an overall level of seismic performance at least equivalent to that expected for a building meeting the prescriptive requirements of the San Francisco Building Code for seismic structural design.
