After graduating from the University of California, Berkeley, Sarah joined Maffei Structural Engineering in 2022. At the firm, she works on seismic evaluation and retrofit of existing buildings, designs new roof structures, conducts peer reviews of high-rises, evaluates solar panel arrays, and leads post-earthquake preparations. Her expertise centers on project management, sustainability, and collaborative design processes. Beyond project work, she strengthens the workplace environment by organizing the company DEIB task group and developing the Maffei externship program. Outside the office, Sarah channels her puzzle-solving and teamwork skills into lively sessions of Dungeons & Dragons.
